Whitecairn is on the edge of charming Glenluce village and is close to some lovely beaches. Ideally located for exploring this picturesque Scottish area and just 10 miles from Stranraer, with its leisure centre shops and trips to Ireland the park has a choice of two or three bedroom luxury lodges and caravans.Anglers are well catered for with catch and release trout fishing available on the park, the park also has a launderette and a children's outdoor play area.During the peak season guests at Whitecairn can use the indoor heated swimming pool at the nearby sister park, just one and a half miles away.

No longer an island, it still boasts a very picturesque working harbour.

| "We have just returned from 4 nights with my mother, 3 children (5,7 and 9) and a dog, and we all had a great time! The weather was favourable but the park was in a very central location for the west of the region. We visited Mull of Galloway lighthouse; Port Patrick; Wigton; Stranraer; and Creetown to name but a few.
We went to beaches, harbours, rocks and forests - very varied and great fun. We went swimming in the Ryan Centre (Stranraer), it is acually cheaper and of course much bigger than the sister pool, and being only 10 miles away was no hardship to go to. The caravan itself was in a spacious position on the park, with hardstanding for the car which makes a difference on a wet day. It was of an extremely high standard - fresh, clean and it had everything you need. The staff were friendly and the park was peaceful.
I highly recommend this area and this site." |
