Surrounded by glorious countryside, a short drive from the coast – and only an hours drive from almost anywhere in Cornwall – this is an ideal touring base. The sauna and solarium provide ideal ways to relax and children will love the indoor heated swimming pool, paddling pool and their own playground. The stone built Victorian manor house offers the perfect way to start the evening in the Elizabethan Suite with its restaurant and bar.
A magical area steeped in legend. Tintagel and its famous castle, the rugged North Cornwall coast and a host of scenic and historic attractions are all nearby.

Surfers flock to catch the waves all along the coast from Sennen to Newquay and Bude, and while Gwithian Beach offers the best kite and windsurfing in the country, there are also miles of clean, sandy beaches and lively resorts perfect for family days out. The Camel Trail, a disused railway line following the River Camel between Bodmin and Padstow, is now a superb walking and cycling path, and inland you’ll find a glorious landscape of hidden valleys and sweeping moorland dotted with ancient stone circles and steeped in legend. A visit to King Arthur’s castle at Tintagel is a must, and artists have long been lured to the picturesque town of St Ives, for its special quality of light and the loveliness of its coastal setting.

| "The bungalow accommodation was well furnished, had new carpets & other household features. But mainly, because it was extremely good value for money, during the early Autumn season when we had our 3 day short break away. Finally, the location of Michaelstow Manor was excellent for touring around the North of Cornwall, where everyone should visit Tintagel, with English Heritage's King Arthur's Island. Also, Boscastle & Padstow both worth a visit, as was the John Betjeman Museum at Old Railway Station in Wadebridge. Thank you for such a brilliant holiday experience. We will revisit Michaelstow Manor, to have another holiday there again." |

| "Would recommend this location for anyone looking for a base to explore the beautiful Cornwall countryside! Had a great stay at Michaelstow Manor, which was very peaceful & the accomodation was lovely. The staff were extremely helpful in replacing a faulty Room Heater & we were very impressed with the additional step placed outside the entrance door to our Rosewood Apartment after we advised during booking that one of our party had mobility issues.
It made a nice change to feel welcome & for the people to be so accomodating to our needs. We'd definately go to Michaelstow Manor again." |
