    Beside the pretty seaside village of Kippford this beautiful park boasts a rare red squirrel population and holds the prized David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation. Adjoining the park are play areas bluebell woodlands marked forest and coastal trails and a 9-hole golf course. Trout and coarse fishing and 16km of world class cycle tracks are also on the doorstep. br/>
    Just 15 minutes' stroll away is the pretty seaside village of Kippford with two pubs chandlery public slipway and a sand/shingle beach with spectacular views.

    The inviting coastal village of Creetown is perhaps best known for its country music festival and as the setting for the cult film, The Wicker Man (there’s a 12 ft high model of him among many other fascinating exhibits in the Creetown Heritage Museum).     "Fabulous, relaxing break. Accommodation was as described and to a very high standard. Hot tub was excellent for relaxing at the end of the day. Quiet location within easy travelling of many local amenities and attractions. Saw red squirrel on our deck on the last morning!"
